Responsible gaming

1. Our commitment to responsible gaming

Fitzgerald Industries Group N.V. (the “Company”) is committed to ensuring that our Players maintain control of their gaming so that it remains enjoyable. We believe it is our responsibility to our Players to ensure that they enjoy their online gaming experience with us while remaining fully aware of the social and financial harms associated with problem gaming. The Company recognizes the importance of ensuring that its gaming activities take place in a responsible, secure, safe, and reliable environment and are committed to providing Players with a responsible gaming environment.

2. Gaming could be harmful!

Although most Players are people who from time to time enjoy playing a game or betting on a sports match, in some cases gaming can get out of hand: people spend too much time on it or bet large amounts of money. This can lead to debt problems or even addiction. Some Players run the risk of developing problems and these problems are serious. If you have a problem with compulsive gaming, you may continually chase bets that lead to losses, use up savings and create debt. Harm from gaming isn't just about losing money. Gaming can affect self-esteem, relationships, physical and mental health, work performance and social life. It can harm not only the person who gambles, but also family, friends, workplaces, and communities.

3. Tips for gaming responsibly

When it comes to beating addictions, whether it is gaming or any other addiction, knowledge is power. The following list of tips should give you some extra power to resist your gaming problems by gaming responsibly:

  • a) Don’t gamble with money you need in the near future.
  • b) Don’t gamble with money you have borrowed from other people.
  • c) Study the house edge for each game so you know what outcome to expect.
  • d) Don’t expect to win; accepting a loss and walking away is fine!
  • e) Think of your losses as a cost of entertainment.
  • f) Set time limits on your gaming sessions.
  • g) Set money limits on your gaming sessions.
  • h) Ban yourself from all gaming sites if you have a serious problem.
  • i) Try to have the maximum amount of fun per dollar that you spend.
  • j) Take week-long or month-long breaks from gaming sometimes.
  • k) Accept the fact that you will lose money: any other outcome is just a bonus.

4. Self-assessment

Where difficulties arise, it is important that you find this out as early as possible so that you can put preventive measures in place and get further help if needed. Below are common signs that indicate you may be experiencing issues with your gaming:

  • 1. Have others ever criticized your gaming?
  • 2. Do you gamble to escape from a boring or unhappy life?
  • 3. Do arguments, frustrations or disappointments make you want to gamble?
  • 4. Do you gamble alone for long periods?
  • 5. Do you stay away from work, college or school to gamble?
  • 6. Have you ever lied to cover up the amount of money or time you spend gaming?
  • 7. Have you lied, stolen or borrowed in order to maintain betting habits?
  • 8. Are you reluctant to spend ‘gaming money’ on anything else?
  • 9. Have you lost interest in your family, friends or pastimes due to gaming?
  • 10. After losing, do you feel that you have to try and win back your losses as soon as possible?
  • 11. If you run out of money when gaming, do you feel lost and in despair and feel the need to gamble again as soon as possible?
  • 12. Do you gamble until your last penny is gone, even the bus fare home or the cost of a cup of tea?
  • 13. Do you feel depressed or even suicidal because of your gaming?

The more questions that you answer ‘yes’ to, the more likely it is that you are having difficulties with your gaming. To speak with someone who can give you advice and support, please contact one of the organizations listed below.

5. Player protection measures

The Company has several measures in place for the protection of Players. Players who want to restrict their gaming activity may set various protective limits. To lower a limit after it has been enabled, you must wait until your current limit expires before the new limit will take effect.

In addition, the Company offers the options of self-exclusion and deregistration from the Website.

Please note that the consequences of the limits referred in this section is that the Company will make all reasonable efforts to not accept a wager from the Player contrary to a limit or exclusion set by Player. However, the Company does not accept any responsibility if the Player’s use of the Website to place bets is not detected or noticed by the Company.

a) Deposit limits

You may set a limit on the amount you can deposit into your Player Account within a specified period. For example, you can set a deposit limit of EUR 50 per week. The consequence of such limit is that the Company will make all reasonable efforts to not allow you to deposit in addition to the deposited EUR 50 during a week after setting said limit. In the given example, after setting the limit to EUR 50, you may lower the limit to EUR 40, but you must wait until the initial week has expired, until the lower limit takes effect.

To implement a deposit limit, please send a request to the Customer Support Team. You may do so by clicking here

b) Wager limit

Another option is to set a limit on the amount you can wager within a specified period. For example, if you set a wager limit of EUR 50 per week, the Company will make all reasonable efforts to not allow you to wager more than the total amount of EUR 50 until within a week after the date on which the limit was set.

To implement a wager limit, please send a request to the Customer Support Team. You may do so by clicking here

c) Limit on losses

You may also set a limit on the losses you can incur within a specified period. If you set a limit on losses, after losing the defined amount, you will be restricted from making any new wagers until the specified period has lapsed.

To implement a limit on losses, please send a request to the Customer Support Team. You may do so by clicking here

d) Time limit

If you set a limit on the amount of time you can play in any one session, you will be restricted from further playing once the time limit has been reached and you will have to end the session.

To implement a time limit, please send a request to the Customer Support Team. You may do so by clicking here

e) Self-exclusion

If you feel that the limiting options listed above are not effective enough, you might consider the option of self-exclusion, which allows to set a cooling-off period of at least seventy-two (72) hours. During said period, your Player Account is suspended and your access to your Player Account is restricted. To implement self-exclusion, please send a request to the Customer Support Team. You may do so by clicking here

f) Deregistration from the Website

You may at any given moment decide to deregister from the Website. The consequence of deregistration is that your Player Account is terminated. Upon termination of your Player Account, you agree and acknowledge that your rights to use the Website shall immediately terminate. [Furthermore, you will remove any software provided to you or downloaded from the Website.]
